Orthopedics
is the study of bones, joints, and their surrounding structures. Vetcision provides
complete lameness evaluations and certifications utilizing advanced radiographic techniques, Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
(OFA) and PennHip views. We are also equipped to repair all types of traumatic
injuries and fractures using bandaging, pins and wires, plates and screws, intramedullary nails, and the latest in linear
and circular external skeletal fixators. We are also one of the most experienced
facilities in the area to perform the Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) for stabilizing cruciate ligament injuries in the knee. Vetcision also provides treatments for developmental orthopedic problems like hip dysplasia, OCD, and angular
limb deformities. We are able to perform advanced surgeries like triple pelvic
osteotomies (TPO’s) and total hip replacements for hip dysplasia, as well as, limb straightening and lengthening using
the Ilizarov technique.
