Brian T. Huss, DVM, MS
Manager and Chief of Staff Vetcision, LLC
Dr. Huss is the founder, CEO and Chief of Staff of Vetcision, LLC in Waltham, MA. Upon receiving his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Ohio State University in 1989, Dr. Huss was selected as a small animal intern at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. He completed his small animal surgical residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1994. During his residency, Dr. Huss completed a Master of Science program in veterinary medicine and surgery, with an emphasis in surgery and emergency and critical care medicine. In 1996, Dr. Huss passed all of the requirements, and was accepted as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has professional membership with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, American Veterinary Medical Association, Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, Metro West Veterinary Association, Veterinary Association of the North Shore (VANS), Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society, Society for Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery, Veterinary Orthopedic Society, and the International Association for the Study of Internal Fixation (AO-ASIF). Dr. Huss is past-President of VANS and holds a position on the Mount Ida College Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
Dr. Huss first started a small animal surgical practice, Veterinary Surgical Referrals (VSR), in 1995. VSR provided high quality mobile surgical services through out New England for several years. In 2001 Dr. Huss developed, and was a founding partner of, the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center of New England, LLC (VESCONE). When it became apparent that Dr. Huss could not bring his dream of developing a world class specialty referral center to fruition at VESCONE, he changed the name of the surgical practice to Vetcision, LLC. He sold all of his interests in VESCONE to start a full service referral center under the Vetcision name in June 2008.

Paul M. Henricks, DVM, MS
Rotating Internship Director
Dr. Paul Henricks was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. After obtaining his BSc in Biology from the University of Regina, he attended Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 1982, he was awarded his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree with distinction. Following graduation, Dr. Henricks completed a one-year medicine and surgery private practice internship at the Animal Clinic of Regina, followed by a two-year residency program in internal medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. During his residency, Dr. Henricks published his research on cerebrospinal fluid. In addition to his work at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Henricks completed a two-month externship in dermatology and oncology at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis. After completing his residency requirements, Dr. Henricks served as associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Since 1988 Dr. Henricks has been working on the south shore and cape cod in Massachusetts. An active member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, he has served on the Residency Training and Standards Committees. Dr. Henricks is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Cape Cod Veterinary Medical Association, Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners and American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Henricks joined Vetcision in 2009 as a specialist in veterinary internal medicine. He provides services in ultrasound and endoscopy (flexible and rigid) as well as consultations in internal medicine and dermatology.

Ariane Goerlich, med.vet., TA, DVM
Emergency Critical Care Director
Dr. Ariane Goerlich joined Vetcision in February 2010 after working as an emergency and critical care veterinarian at Tufts V.E.T.S. 2001- 2009. Her professional interests include trauma, multi-modal analgesia and management of acute and chronic pain, physical therapy as well as emergency and critical care for dogs, cats, rabbits and small mammals, ophthalmologic and endocrine emergencies.
An attendant of an undergraduate school in Munich, Germany, Dr. Goerlich majored in French and Biology. After obtaining a Bachelor Degree in 1988, she went on to earn a Doctorate (TA, med.vet.) in Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich in 1993. Dr. Goerlich served amongst others a three month internship with general practitioner, Dr. Piorovic in Paris, France in addition to a month and a half long ophthalmology internship with Dr. Bachrach in Lincoln, Massachusetts in 1994. Upon graduation Dr. Goerlich dedicated the majority of her time to emergency medicine while also working in general practice.
A recipient of multiple MVMA's Continuing Education Awards, Dr. Goerlich is also a member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM) and of the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association (HSVMA). She has taught Problem Based Learning classes at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and continues to enjoy teaching. Dr. Goerlich holds Veterinary Licenses for Massachusetts and New Hampshire as well as Germany and EU Countries.
Dr. Goerlich's hobbies include gardening, hiking, running the community 5K, biking, horse back riding, reading and watching movies with her husband, Bill, and son, Benjamin. Their extended family includes Balou, a Border Collie/Dalmatian cross (and a hearing dog for her son) and Domestic Shorthair felines, Jeannie and Snowflake.

Michael J. Gay, DVM
Anesthesia and Emergency Critical Care
Dr. Gay graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He then went on to complete an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Veterinary Specialists of Connecticut in 1998. Dr. Gay has spent his career focusing on small animal emergency and critical care and surgery. In 2005, he chose to further enhance his training by doing a Residency in Anesthesia at the University of Georgia which he completed in 2008. Dr. Gay is truly passionate about veterinary medicine and in particular thrives when managing patients with traumatic injuries or an acute abdomen.
He is excited to be back in the New England area as he enjoys trail running with his dogs in the summer and fall and snowboarding through the winter!

Rebecca Molina, DVM
Rotating Medicine and Surgery Intern
Dr. Molina was raised in Connecticut, is one of triplets, and knew from an early age her desire to become a veterinarian. She received her Associates in Science and Veterinary Technology from Becker College in 2003, and her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University in 2005. Rebecca graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University, and has an interest in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and research. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, her husband Sam, and furry family which include 4 cats and 1 dog.

Business Manager, Vetcision, LLC
Ms. Beaulieu started her career at Vetcision in 2006 after enjoying 4 years as a receptionist and veterinary assistant for a veterinary hospital locatd in haverhill, MA. Prior to finding her niche in the veterinary field, she spent three years in human health as a licensed nursing assistant. Her customer care experience spans 18 years, six of which were spent in leadeship roles. Ms. Beaulieu's experience, combined with her love for animals, and her passion for health care, make her a valued addition to the core of Vetcision. Ms. Beaulieu lives in New Hampshire and spends her time enjoying the freedom of the outdoors. The serenity and peace of nature keeps her grounded and gives her the inner balance required to handle situations with clarity and calmness.
Sandra Conner, CVT
Head Technician Manager
Sandy Conner joined Vetcision in October 2011 having worked in the veterinary profession for the past 9 years in emergency, specialty, and general practice hospital settings. She completed her associates degree in veterinary technology at St. Petersburg College, Florida in 1997, followed by a year-long intensive technician internship with the renowned Animal Medical Center of New York. In addition to her role as technician manager at Vetcision, she is also continuing her studies towards specialty certification in anesthesia (avta-vts.org) and veterinary practice management (vhma.org). She also holds a baccalaureate degree in biology from Belmont Abbey College. Prior to her involvement with the veterinary profession, Sandy worked in an executive capacity in the field of health care association management. Sandy’s primary areas of veterinary specialty training have been in anesthesia, advanced imaging (MRI/CT), exotics, and veterinary oncology along with several supervisory and management roles within these areas. Ongoing and future interests continue to be in clarifying the role of the certified technician in veterinary practice and to help encourage growth and respect in the industry for those technicians dedicated to improving their profession. As the technician manager for Vetcision, Sandy goals are to employ the very best technical staff of the greater-Boston area. As a present or future client, you can be assured that your pet is receiving some of the best veterinary nursing care this area has to offer. Sandy is certified in the State of Massachusetts and is an active member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Technician Association. She is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the Veterinary Cancer Society, the Veterinary Support Personnel Network, and is also licensed in the State of New York. She lives in Shrewsbury, MA with her 3 whimsical cats and a loveable great pyrenees.
